Meet Nardia Greenwood, MS, LGPC, NCC
Nardia Greenwood is an associate therapist who provides help to individuals, couples, and families with various issues including, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships, and work-life balance.
One of Nardia’s many gifts is her ability to fully connect with people from all walks of life and communication skills. While many patients do well with traditional talk therapy, it is not uncommon for individuals to struggle with expressing themselves or processing their own life events and thoughts with a professional. Nardia belongs to an elite group of Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral therapists who use Expressive Art Therapy to assist clients in expressing themselves creatively. This includes expression through writing, music, and drawing. Nardia is very effective at assisting clients who may need a non-traditional approach in their therapy.
Nardia is also trained in treating anger management and addiction disorders including impulse control, substance abuse, and codependency.
Nardia obtained her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She is licensed in Washington DC as both a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Nardia enjoys using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Expressive Art Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions.
As your therapist, Nardia is committed to helping you identify and address your life challenges within a safe and non-judgmental environment. She will help you build and store your toolbox full of skills and resources that will help you reach your personal, and relationship goals.
“Whether you initially believe in therapy or not, it is amazing to experience success once you embrace the process and begin to experience how helpful it can truly be.”
